PRIVATE LESSONS
In Person or Online
I want to teach you bass guitar not so you can play like me, but so you can play like you. To give you the tools, knowledge, and perspective to find your own voice and translate it through music.
If you are thinking about taking lessons you have many options. Not only are there many people offering lessons, there are also many resources available on the internet. And like anything else, there are some very good methods and teachers, but also much misinformation and bad advice. For most beginners and some intermediate level players it can be difficult to figure out what information is valuable and what might lead you in the wrong direction.

When I take on a new student I see it as a commitment and I fully expect to put in as much effort as the student. Everyone has different backgrounds and levels of experience which leads to different ways of learning and absorbing information. I customize lesson plans to fit each student's goals and expectations while stressing aspects of music and bass playing that I find to be essential for everyone. One thing that each of my lessons have in common is that I always strive to teach music and not just bass guitar. While technique is important and something I like to focus on, I feel that it is equally important for students to understand the language of music.

If you decide to take lessons with me you will have a dedicated partner in your journey, and one who is fully invested in your growth and success.
